Remembering the Past, Educating the Future
The 5th Minnesota, Company D is a dedicated group of people who enjoy researching and sharing Civil War history. We participate in a variety of volunteer activities at libraries, museum, schools, and historic sites. We not only present lectures, we participate in Civil War battle reenactments, encampments, and parades.
Teaching and learning together!
Welcome to Our Site
Welcome to the site for Fifth Minnesota Infantry, Company D. We hope you will enjoy looking through our information about who we are, what we do, and the history we portray.
We are a group of Civil War reenactors and living historians who dedicate ourselves to our motto "Remembering the Past, Educating the Future." Our members come from Fargo, Grand Forks, and surrounding areas in North Dakota and Minnesota.
We provide programming to educational institutions, public libraries, historical organizations, and any other interested parties, who seek to learn more about the Civil War, the men and women who experienced it, and the broader time in American history.
If you are interested in getting in touch with us, please use the contact form below. We are always looking for new recruits to join our group, so please use the form below and get in touch with us, as we are always willing to help new folks experience the hobby that we enjoy so much.
